As a Design, Construct Project, MID designers conducted a suitable design to accommodate the offices of the Metropolitan Police Head Quarters, in addition to obtaining all permits and approvals needed for such plans endorsements.
The Project comprised of three buildings, a six storey front building, four storey annexes and a four storey rear building with a total area of 7000 m2. All three are being fully refurbished.
New Air-conditioning, fire alarm, lighting systems have been installed. New curtain walls were fitted. The refurbishment also included the installation of a new lift for the use of the disabled and the refurbishment of two other passenger lifts.
The external elevations of all buildings were restored and closed, while maintaining the same external appearance and design so as to stay in accordance with the planning regulations.
The wet areas are refurbished to suite the disabled use and to conform with the latest buildings regulations.
