MID Contracting Company Ltd. is a Jordan-based construction contractor established in 1991 as a limited liability company.
The founders modestly started the company targeting the local market, with an eye on the regional and international markets. Over the last 30 years, the unremitting dedication and hard work of its distinguished professional team coupled with the willpower and determination of its founders, have granted MID Contracting the aptitude to construct several specialized projects in Jordan and abroad.
Adherence to international practices in environmental, safety, and quality management as well as project management standards has granted MID Contracting both local and regional recognition. In the year 1997, MID Contracting was the first Jordanian General Contracting Company to achieve the ISO 9002 Certification. The Quality Management System of MID Contracting has been modified to comply with the ISO 9001:2008, and currently MID Contracting proudly holds the Quality Management Systems Certificate ISO 9001:2015, the Environmental Management System Certificate ISO 14001:2015, and the Safety Management System Certificate ISO 45001.
In 2008, MID Contracting moved under MID Global Investment Group (MGIG) which was originally established by the same founders in 2002 as private shareholding company. This corporate restructuring intended to integrate and complement the capacity of the group and its flagship, MID Contracting, towards approaching a range of BOT, BOOT, and DBOT projects, as well as PPP projects. The vision of the founders is to set the group (MGIG) as the master developer/concessioner/investor, while MID Contracting handles the EPC parts of such projects.
MID Contracting is classified as a “General Contractor” by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of Jordan, with a first-grade classification in all eight specializations; Buildings Construction, Electromechanics and Renewable Energy, Roads Construction, Earth Works / Excavation and Excavation for Mining, Water and Sewerage, Concrete Works/ Bridges & Intersections & Tunnels, Communication Networks and Decor Works and Furnishing.
With a current workforce in excess of 500 employees, and an average annual turnover in the range of $100 million, MID Contracting is clearly the leading and the largest reputable Jordanian construction contracting company in Jordan. The company’s wide range of construction resources, including heavy earthwork machinery, asphalt machinery, tower cranes, air compressors, power generating sets, and the huge stock of state-of-the-art form-works and scaffolding systems, as well as the owned fleet of mobile cranes, water tankers and trucks, and mobile site offices & residence caravans, have attracted numerous regional and international companies to embark on joint ventures and partnerships with MID Contracting for constructing several notable landmark projects of Jordan.
